Also at the October 13th Ratepayer’s Meeting an exciting announcement was made – Elbow has won a ‘Helping Hands National Award’, the first project ever to have been selected in Saskatchewan!
"Let Them Be Kids" is a volunteer, non-profit organization created to build community capacity on the grassroots level; while building playgrounds, skate parks, and fitness parks across Canada. These projects leave a legacy of community members who are inspired and better equipped to lay a strong foundation for a brighter tomorrow!
The Need . . . Our treasured park is in need of some revitalization and a playground. We need to create a space that is inviting to all generations within our community!
The Activity . . . In one day, volunteers will come together to build a playground structure and enhance the park space with a memorial garden, benches and much more!
The Impact . . . By working with one another to achieve a common goal we will develop a more united community, empowered to create positive change! At the end of the day we will be able to say . . . WE DID IT TOGETHER!
Build Day: May 12, 2012 – Mark it on your calendars!
