COVID-19 - Village Buildings CLOSED

Wednesday, March 18, 2020

By resolution of the Village of Elbow Council, the following preventative measures are being taken to ensure the continued health and safety of the entire community, but especially those most vulnerable.  The following are in effect immediately until further notice:

  • Village Office: CLOSED to the public, but staff will remain at work and the public is now required to do their business by email or telephone during regular business hours.  Payments can be made online (PCCU, or etransfer), or by dropping off in the drop slot on the ramp side of the building
  • Elbow Civic Centre: CLOSED until further notice.  All events and activities cancelled.
  • Elbow Rink and Fitness Centre: CLOSED until further notice.  All events and activities cancelled.

Maintenance staff will be limiting public interaction, and will not be entering homes of residents at this time.  With the upcoming water meter reading later this month we will only be reading outside meters, and will be leaving cards for those with inside reads to phone their readings in.

Council and staff understand that things are very uncertain in our world right now and appreciate your patience in this rapidly changing situation.  Council will be reassessing as the situation continues to develop.

If you have concerns over members of the community who may be quarantined, we ask the community at this time to make the best possible use of technology and check in on your friends and neighbours via telephone, email, social media, and text messaging where possible.  In uncertain times it is important to remember that family, friends, and neighbours are here to support.  If you are in self-isolation, immune compromised, or just need a helping hand, please do not hesitate to contact the Village Office at 306-854-2277 and we will do what we can to assist.
